This genius dress starts with a plain neutral a-line type. It becomes 4 totally different looks simply by buttoning on different vestees or epaulets. If only our modern wardrobe pieces could be so versatile!

The darling jumper dress can be worn with a blouse underneath or sewn in linen with no under blouse for sports. Number 8306 has a yoke in eyelet embroidery and hangs loose below the yoke until it is cinched with a belt

  4. It's wonderful to see them in colour as so many magazines were produced with just a couple of colour pages and the rest in black and white. I love the blouses on the second picture and the heart shaped seams on the deep pink coat are just so intriguing. Beautiful selections!

  8. The shoulders that dominated the late 30s are quite possibly my favourite of any era. Swoon, swoon, super swoon!

    Thanks for the terrific share!
