    Hi Brittany,

I said it in my email, but I'll say it publicly too. Your contact information on a postcard looks so perfectly vintage. I love it when a professional pays attention to every detail - it shows true pride in one's work, *and* makes the finished product more enjoyable for the audience.

    Take care.

    Hi Brittany!

I would like you to know about my new book about vintage fashion. It's called Wear Vintage Now! Choose It, Care for It, Style It Your Way. The book is a compendium of what I've learned in my 20+ years as a vintage clothing dealer. Many great resources come up in my writing—You are mentioned. I've always appreciated both the beauty of your website, and your very helpful and lovely writing.

I would really be honored if you'd review the book. I can send you a digital sample to see if you might be interested, or send you the entire book digitally.

    Thank you for considering!

    Hi Brittany,

Have you seen the Hard Candy Marilyn Monroe Collection at Walmart? The packaging is really cute! I've bought the strawberry serum, brow pencil and strawberry lip balm. I'm impressed!!

Hi. I recently saw that a lady on a rummage ad had a pic of a crocheted item that has a long 'tie' that connects on one side to the other, 1 solid loop 'tie', it is an old item she found in her mothers items and is desperately seeking to find what it was used for. So, my question is, does anyone know if old style hair 'snoods' had what looks to be an attached tie/handle?? It almost looks like a flimsy crocheted basket, but, we don't think so. Can you help? Thanks! KS

I have a killer recipe for vanilla pudding, which can be altered with cocoa powder for chocolate pudding and brown sugar foe butterscotch. If you would like the recipe, let me know and I will send it to you. I make it at least once a week, using my home made vanilla, and it is fabulous. We never tire of it, and usually serve it with a sliced banana on top or with whipped cream. (have to support those dairy farmers.)

I have 1930s vintage lipstick holder but all the lipstick bullets I have found are too big. Is there a lipstick I can buy than has a smaller diameter that will fit these vintage lipstick holders? I have seen some Avon refills or samples - but hate to buy these if these will also be too big.
Any help or advice you can give me will be appreciated.
    Lois

Hi Brittany, My mother was an exceptional seamstress but her sewing days are over. I have a fair number of patterns, many still with factory folds, and some are duplicates with one that she used and the other untouched. They are vintage I suppose, dating from the late 60's to the early 70's. I would be happy to send them to anyone who may be interested. She and I had matching outfits for all of the holidays when I was a child and in preparation for a trip that I took to Europe as a college student, she made my entire wardrobe so I could leave the clothes in Europe and fill my suitcase with souvenirs. These were the days of strict weight limits. Anyway, if you might advise me regarding vintage patterns and who might be interested in these, I would appreciate it. Thanks
