Last week, I added all sorts of fluffy, fuzzy pretty things to my etsy shop
I recently bought some black boudoir slippers and loved them so much, I hoped to get a few more pairs in different colors. Instead, I made myself a pair of shoe clips to use on a pair of plain shoes. They turned out so nice, I made some for the shop in pink and black, just listed today.
Also, while I was playing with marabou, I made a few more pink powder puffs. When I was a little girl, watching Fievel Goes West, I always loved Miss Kitty and her beautiful vanity with huge powder puffs and atomizer perfume bottles. I wanted a fancy vanity just like hers.
My Miss Kitty powder puffs are sewn in pink satin with a minky bottom and trimmed in pink marabou for extra fluffiness. They have a small wooden handle and pick up loose powder beautifully.

This post really drives home the point that for all the money modern women spend on beauty products, the act of getting ready (or conversely, getting ready for bed at the end of the day) so often lacks the glamour and elegance it had up until a few decades ago.

Thank you! It was actually my grandma's vanity in the 50s and 60s! It has shoe storage shelves under it and it originally had a bar on either side to hand the vanity skirt and it would slide open to reveal the shoes! I hope to make a new one some day
