A few summers ago, I found several vintage American Girl and other teen magazines at an antique shop out of town. I always find wonderful fashion and beauty ideas and I love reading the funny ads and articles in these. They were such a good deal, I picked up a stack of them for my collection. Here's a peek inside American Girl magazine from November 1948.
American Girl was the Girl Scout magazine of its day and it always has some wonderful ads for vintage Girl Scout branded clothes and accessories. I especially love the dancing instructions in this one, although I can't make heads or tails of it! If you enjoy this post check out all of my old magazine scans for more fashion and beauty tips from the 1920s-1960s.
I've also been collecting 40's and 50's magazines, the doodles are wonderful and the positive atmosphere in those magazines is very uplifting :-)

ReplyDeleteWhile I like reading publications, my particular interest is in elegant blogs, which are one of my favorite categories. Nonetheless, since this enthusiasm is interfering with my academics, I have decided to seek the assistance of https://wowgrade.net/ in order to complete my dissertation on time. The fact that I did so had various benefits, and the fact that I wrote well-written essays contributed to my better grade point average.
