1930s Makeup and Hair Advice

Thursday, June 25, 2015

I was sorting through old books the other day when I found my copy of This Way to Beauty by Helena Rubinstein from 1936.

The book contains a lot of tips on hair, makeup, nails, weight loss, poise and skin care. Here's a peek at some of my favorite pages of the hair and makeup section

  6. Thank you, thank you, thank you for that, dear gal!
This is an amazing booklet, and has a lot of truly useful ideas.
One thing that I don't thing I'd like to go for is sporting blue-green mascara for green eyes - but that is my personal preference (anyway: I don't used it alltogether lately, it botheres my eyes a lot).
