I hope that everyone has enjoyed my DIY Bakelite tutorials this week.  I've had a lot of fun with them! Here's a little recap if you missed them:

How to repair a Bakelite Cherry Brooch
Making Bakelite Jewelry

It seems that DIY Bakelite jewelry isn't a new thing. This vintage cherry brooch was made to look like a Bakelite brooch way back when. It has 6 wooden cherries on a carved wooden log base with the same lacquer dipped stems as Bakelite brooches. The pronged pin back is one of those sturdy oldies too!

Time for a giveaway? I think so! Thank you to all of you wonderful blog readers out there. Your comments, emails and sweetness really do make my day.  One lucky reader will win this lovely cherry brooch. I'm using a new giveaway widget from Rafflecopter this time. Rafflecopter keeps track of giveaway entries but it will not complete all of the tasks for you .(I wish it did, that would be awesome!) Be sure to follow through with the tasks to complete your entry. It looks like it might make things easier for all of us but if you can't stand it, please do let me know! :P
