When I was 16, I bought this hilarious tote bag by Transversion from the mall. It was kind a splurge but I'm 27 and still carrying it all the time so well worth the splurge, I think!

Two weeks ago, Pj, Rhys and I popped into an estate sale down the street and I was lucky enough to find two more of these adorable bags! I assume that the woman who owned the estate worked for an airline due to a scattering of TWA pins, notebooks and such. Either that or she just liked to travel.
Sitting on the floor by my desk at school, I often caught my classmates hanging their heads, trying to read the funny little notes and figure out what the heck was on my bag.
Those are fantastic! (I especially like the "Eastbound, Southbound, Westbound" picture. Too funny ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favs too! I love them so much, I found another on ebay today that will be perfect for my camera. They're so colorful and silly- always make me laugh! :P
DeleteThat's so cool.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I've never seen these bags before, but am sure my teenage self would have gone gaga for them, too.

ReplyDeleteI love cartoons, it looks faboluse, realy like it. I want to start a page as your ans recently I asked a web design company ELCO PLANET (www.elcoplanet.com) to develope the page for me.. I was just interested for web hosting..I can see your blog , can you please advice me about web hosting provider.. have you ever heard for www.elcoplanet.com offering hosting, alpha reseller hosting... ? thanks a lot
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of elcoplanet before. I started this blog through blogger for free 3 1/2 years ago starting with a .blogspot.com address but recently went through GoDaddy.com for my own.com. I think it was somewhere in the range of $10-$15 per year for the web address but I still do all of the posting and design myself through blogger. Since blogger doesn't have a checkout for ecommerce, I use passionfruit for selling ads and storenvy for sellin my vintage clothes. I used to go with etsy but storenvy doesn't have any fees and its fully customizable and they have very limited restrictions on what you can and can't sell, unlike etsy.
DeleteThat's so cute! When I was 16 I had a mickey mouse tote bag. I wish I still had it but I broke the straps.
ReplyDeleteAh loop nyc made these bags didnt they!? They made the andy worhal bags, guitar shaped bags and such. I loved their travel bags sooo much, i have never seen the transversion line before, but i love it!
ReplyDeleteDear Jean Poylini, I have heard for www.elcoplanet.com and I saw their site but my opinion is that www.eaglehost.info is best for hosting and reseller, I have been using www.bluehsot.com www.ixwebhosting.info but www.eaglehost.info provides best services and performances as for web hosting also for reseller web hosting such is Alpha Reseller and super Alpha Reseller, so if yu are looking for recommendation mine is www.eaglehost.info
ReplyDeleteOMG transversion bags are my favorite. I'm pissed at myself for not keeping my entire collection. I have 1 bag left and its wearing out. I agree with you...excellent investment. They've lasted over 13 years and I use mine all the time. Looking for information on manufacture and company that produced or designed it. I'd love to bring em back...transversion revival. thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow old is this company? I just bought one that has a side umbrella for $25.00 in a vintage shop. I had never heard of it before.
