This full-color 1940's spread covers the most flattering colors and hairstyles for your individual look. I have my copy hanging over my vanity for daily inspiration for both makeup and clothing color choices. Over the years, the poor thing has become quite crumbly and wrinkly but it's still fun to share!

Very cute! I love vintage articles like this.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow! I've been told I have either a round or a heart face; here's hoping for heart so that I can "indulge in the coiffure of the hour"...oh, lala! However, I think I'm actually a round which calls for a "simple hairdress" boo! Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteoh good! I've been looking for something about hairstyles and face shapes from a 40's perspective! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThey never mention green eyes!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I can indulge in the coiffure of the hour too! ;D
Oh, I love this! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love this, although I really worked with intuition, I never stopped to think about what color it is because I'm blonde or brunette, just see what I like and it is flattering .... but it is good to confirm and enjoy these articles and the 40s look is wonderfully feminine. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love articles about choosing colors. I'm trying to add more color to my wardrobe. I usuallly just give up and buy something black.
ReplyDeleteI love, love this. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great article!
ReplyDeleteI am naturally blond, but I have old friends who knew me blond tell me all the time to never stop dying my hair. I know NO article or stylist would have recommended this color for me, so sometimes we have to find out on our own what best suits us :-)
I noticed no posts for a few days... does this mean the blogosphere has a new little addition yet? I hope so! x
ReplyDeleteKally, Oh I wish!! I think this little stinker is holding on for the long haul! I told him a few days ago "I don't want you living in my womb till you're 30! Pack your bags and move along, kid!" LOL!
