Vintage on a Budget: Doll Me Up

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

I know a lot of us are on a tight budget for our vintage wardrobe but there's so many great deals to be found so I thought I'd start sharing some of my budget finds by challenging myself to share a vintage inspired outfit for $100 or less with some tips on how to find great prices on clothes and accessories on your own.

Today I thought I'd do two from Doll Me Up. Doll Me Up is a great resource for affordable vintage inspired clothes and accessories with lots of separates, dresses and accessories for well under $50. If you sign up for the newsletter, you'll get 5% off your first order and there's always a well stocked sale section and plus size selection.  The shoes are from Tidestore, which has daily deep discounts on clothes and accessories. Tidestore's size range is kind of limited but they have some really cute stuff.

  2. I just discovered you on pinterest with your latest 'VA Voom Vintage' pin. Um, why didn't I find your glorious stash of patterns and galore, sooner? I don't often follow a pinner all the way to their own website, but, bravo! You hooked me right in, with that catchy album title. In fact, I decided to steal it, for a new album, just devoted to my sexy vintage pins, because my sewing patterns album is a mess. I love that name, which I see is also your blog name. So perfect. It would be a great label name. Maybe, you can parlay your blog into a store, and sell your own Va Voom Vintage creations. (if you have the time, which, if your a mom, like me, is tough, as finding that much time to sew, except for myself and my kids. Anyway, what a resource you have provided. Thanks so much, for sharing all of this well organized info! Love your taste. Good luck in endeavors!

  4. Great looks! I just love blue and orange together. Tony's favourite colour is orange and so I'll usually sport it on his birthday, often partnering it with blue, green or light grey.
